Ah, starting to feel the burn of the inevitable backstroke yet? Faith-based post-welfare and fisa. Even the Rovian swift-boating of McCain’s war record smells so strongly of Clintonianism, of “lessons learned in the last election.”
Fukuyama?

course! so but what’s the purpose of the photo?…i don’t understand. assume by “swift-boating” you were being tongue-in-cheek, as that was more the SCUM media’s self-flattering non-sequitor.
anyway Obama’s surely in a Carter-like moment now, where the Establishment is looking for reassurances now the show of “democracy” is effectively all but over and he’s been chosen as the salesman best suited to restore faith in cliched mythology and quell social unrest (keep the terrorists off the lawn, along with the college anarchists and dangerously re-engaged socialist-leaning citizenry), etc. how’s that for cynicism?
only problem is he appears to have a solid conscience and some genuine integrity. still a million ways to compromise, but at least there will be pressure from the grassroots left/his base – hopefully consistent and mounting pressure -to exceed the token gestures toward building an alterative institutional power that were Carter’s pathetic legacy.
