A very good post indeed, a crystalisation of the situation my friends and I mostly live (save the odd network engineer). Most of my friends have experienced the arduous interview, the quick firing, the hunted feeling of constant management and lack of trust. Pleasant to know that globalised capitalism continues its desire to even out the haves and have nots, so that the Bengali sweatshop and Canadian service job are soon to be run by the bastard grandchild of Taylor and the trireme.
I am a lecturer in literature at a university in London. If you would like to get in touch with me, you can write me at adswithoutproducts at gmail dot com.
