You're not going? But it's finally in a most excellent place! Ah, I could have taken you out for some poutine. (Careful how you say that... Futz the vowels and you're calling the waitress something not nice...)

No, this isn't for that. At that (if the panel that I've put in for makes it) I'm going to give some sort of thing from the diss-monograph, which HAS TO BE FINISHED by then....

Yes! Sew a letraset sweater for your cat! That would be soooo coool.

OOh, I love the old Letraset and want to hear all about it! I hope you're not presenting on it this year, as I'm not going ---- do a piece on it next year! Or MLA!

I wonder if I could connect up any of these dots to sewing patterns, which have the same types of figures inked on their packaging....

Yes. You know I have to look at M's AD again and will do soon. But yeah, long acknowledged, right back from the start, to be the problem... We have, though, lost track of one of the alternatives... But point taken.

Interesting post - but isn't no.5 kind of the subject of Marcuse's Aesthetic Dimension? That is, hasn't this long been acknowledged to be part of the problem?

Oh totally. Trust me, there was a bottle full of formula sitting there on the hospital table. She'd just never had it before, and I wasn't eager to find out how she took to it in that situation. But yeah, was a wake up call to mix a bit of formula in, we keep remind ourselves.

I can't tell you what to do, but I know from experience that giving your infant a little formula when you're in a bad spot is a very good thing to do. For her and for your sanity.

I'm sorry I made my own life miserable by falling for the breast-is-best propaganda. I mean, I'm not sorry I breastfed, but I'm sorry I didn't find out sooner that I could supplement with formula once in a while with no harm done.

The yuppie preoccupation with Correct Childrearing Procedures is nothing more than status-mongering. No different than bragging about which neighborhood you live in in Brooklyn.
