Hi there, I meant to comment earlier – I’ve been reading your blog for a couple of years now, though I forget what led me here. Consistently great stuff, on topics of particular interest to me. I’ve commented a couple of times, though one or two appear to have been lost. I have a blog, as you can see. I’m in my late thirties, have a BA in history, have unsatisfactory work as a computer programmer, etc.

I found your site through I.T., who I found one day six+ months ago after googling ‘postmodern prison’ (I think!).

I’m 22; a 3rd year experimental video/cultural theory student at a (disappointing) art university in the UK, who’s aiming for an MA in ??? and I am focused primarily ATM in researching the aesthetics of symbolic violence towards women & its effect on the construction of female identity in narrative space. Only I am flippant and have spent the summer reading blogs and going to HC shows between watching episodes of The Wire — all causing me to be too happy to study or write blog posts of my own. Oopes!

I like words, information, and the possibility of a future that’s better than today.

I’m a serial quasi-academic. I have attended a ridiculous number of universities and am about to matriculate once again, at yet another new university in another new town.

My blog comes & goes. It’s mostly gone now. It tends to grow dull during phases when I have a full-time job.

Found through “sit down man” one of the best best best on the web– and now I am intrigued with yours. I am a resource librarian at a design firm in NYC and I try to alert the designers to news in the architecture world. I’m not paid to read blogs but I am paid to keep up with what’s new so I’m a lucky sod, too.
